I'm Alexander Barajas, founder of Aston Nova Consulting. I got my first 9-to-5 right out of college and thought I was on track — get promoted, retire at 65. That's what we're all told.

I worked as a recruiter, so I got to watch the whole thing play out. I helped people get their first job at 18. I was also helping people past 65 get back into the workforce. Almost nobody gets to see that far into their own future. Unless your job is getting people jobs.
